Rockingham County utility officials when contacted Wednesday afternoon about low or non existent water pressure west of Cross Keys Road and South of Rt 33 were told that a massive water main break had occurred. Crews are working to restore service but it may take into the late evening hours to remedy. The break caused the intersection of Cross Keys Road & Spotswood Trail to be reduced to 1 lane, expect delays. Some traffic through the evening rush has moved to Port Republic Road causing delays in getting to Cross Keys Road from Stone Spring. Expect early evening delays there as well.
