JMU Football Stand Out To Enter Transfer Portal

JMU Football standout Wide Receiver Antwane Wells has decided to leave JMU and enter the college football transfer portal. He posted his intentions to his twitter feed Wednesday January 5.

From the JMU football page. Wells had the following highlights in the 2021 fall season

2021 as a Redshirt Freshman: Stats Perform FCS Second Team All-American... HERO Sports FCS Second Team and Freshman All-American... First Team All-CAA wide receiver... CAA Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 13)... Career-high nine receptions and three touchdowns against Towson (Nov. 20)... Six catches for 123 yards and three scores in FCS Second Round vs. Southeastern Louisiana (Dec. 4)... Career-high 179 receiving yards with two touchdowns vs. Maine (Sept. 11), which included a career-long 73-yarder... Made nine grabs for 134 yards at William & Mary (Nov. 13)... Six games over 100 receiving yards this season... Honorable Mention Preseason All-CAA wide receiver.
