Harrisonburg City Police have identified 43 year old Patricia Smith of Woodstock as the driver who was killed when her vehicle collided with a train near downtown Harrisonburg Monday evening.
Police have said that witnesses stated that the vehicle driven by Smith, a 2014 Chevy Impala, failed to stop at the sign on West Rock Street continuing through that intersection and colliding with the Norfolk Southern Train, that was slowly moving northward and was blocking the crossing.
Two passengers were transported to UVA with serious injuries
