HPD Searching for Child Sex Crimes Suspect
The Harrisonburg Police Department is actively searching for Juan Jose Matuz Renteria, 44, of Harrisonburg. Matuz Renteria is suspected to have committed various crimes against a child and has been charged with:
• Rape: victim <13 years of age
• Aggravated sexual battery: victim <13 years of age
• Forcible sodomy: victim <13 years of age
• Object sexual penetration: victim <13 years of age
No further case related details will be released to protect the identity and privacy of the child.
