HPD: D.A.R.E. Officer Mike stepping away after 22 years

From the HPD Facebook:

Officer Mike has been not just the face of the Harrisonburg DARE program for 22 years, he has been the heart and soul of it. HPD is saying goodbye to a phenomenal 25-year career officer, community advocate, and an amazing person who always stepped up to do anything asked of him (except stop driving the 1994 DARE Mustang. That we had to strong arm him into).

While we are genuinely heartbroken to see Officer Gangloff leave, he is stepping away to follow a dream that is near and dear to his heart. He will be taking a position as a regional director for the Special Olympics which he will, of course, be phenomenal for.

Best wishes to Officer Mike in his future endeavors and THANK YOU for your 22 years of passionate education of the children of Harrisonburg and boundless enthusiasm for supporting the community.
