Sentara/RMH among the nation's top hospitals for heart attack patients

11 Sentara hospitals have received an American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Performance Achievement Award for 2022. Seven Sentara Healthcare hospitals received the Platinum award, the highest achievement, and only bestowed upon 240 hospitals nationwide.

The award recognizes Sentara’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. Each hospital reached an aggressive goal of treating patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.

  • Sentara CarePlex Hospital – Platinum Award – Hampton, VA
  • Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital – Gold Award – South Boston, VA
  • Sentara Leigh Hospital – Platinum Award – Norfolk, VA
  • Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital – Platinum Award – Charlottesville, VA
  • Sentara Norfolk General Hospital – Platinum Award – Norfolk, VA
  • Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center – Platinum Award – Woodbridge, VA
  • Sentara RMH Medical Center – Platinum Award – Harrisonburg, VA
  • Sentara Princess Anne Hospital – Silver Award – Virginia Beach, VA
  • Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital – Platinum Award – Virginia Beach, VA
  • Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center – Gold Award – Williamsburg, VA

Sentara hospitals have continued to be recognized with this performance achievement award for the past 10 years
