Virginia State Police have released some information about a fatal motorcycle accident near Mt. Solon Sunday morning. VSP responded to the crash on Rt 42. They report a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle crossed the centerline of the road and struck an oncoming vehicle. The impact caused the motorcycle rider to slide across the roadway and strike a guardrail. The rider, a 53 year old Amissville man, died at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
